Uphill Policy
Uphill ski or snowshoe traffic is not permitted within the Cypress Mountain Alpine Controlled Recreation Area Boundaries.
Overnight and early morning Ski Area operations including; snowcat grooming, winch cable grooming, avalanche control, lift servicing, snowmobile operation and other activities, are in progress daily, and these activities can present hazards prior to opening daily operations. During Alpine Ski Area daily operations, Uphill traffic presents a significant hazard to Skiers and Snowboarders proceeding downhill on the Ski Runs and is not permitted at any time.
Uphill Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing is permitted during posted operating hours within the Cypress Mountain Nordic Controlled Recreation Area on the designated trails - subject to the purchase and display of a valid Cross Country or Snowshoe Trail Ticket.
Proceeding into the Nordic Controlled Recreation Area without purchasing and displaying a valid Cross Country Ski or Snowshoe Trail Ticket is considered trespassing and is not permitted at any time.
Designated Winter Hiking Routes and uncontrolled areas are accessible outside the Alpine and Nordic Controlled Recreation Areas and are subject to BC Parks Regulations. Uphill Skiers and Snowshoers should avail themselves of the information available regarding these routes and areas from BC Parks and use them at their own risk.
