Happy New Year!
At home in White Rock this morning, I was really wondering about venturing out. “It is too cold; I’m tired; there hasn’t been any new snow; it will probably be icy… Waa, waa, waa”.
What a mistake that would have been! I probably wouldn’t have left my house, and I would have missed out on fresh air, exercise and a bluebird day. To my surprise, it also was not cold up here (minus 4), there was no wind, and it was not icy. Beautiful conditions today.
I know I sound like a broken record, but everyone should find a way to get outside in the winter. The vitamin D, endorphins, and serotonin all kick in to ward off depression, anxiety, and generally the winter blues.
We skied every lift today, and meandered through some trees because the snow was so forgiving and fun. Great day. Run of the day – Glades off Sky Chair. Smile of the day – Felix the Lifty. He was so happy and friendly as he loaded the troops on the lifts.
Thank you Cypress for a happy day.
