Winter Break is over, and so are the crowds on our Wednesday Date Day.
Don’t get me wrong, I love it when Cypress is busy. Keeps things going. However, I must admit that having the mountain to ourselves again was quite lovely.
We played on Sky Chair most of the day today. It was nice and sunny up there, with quite a bit of new snow recently. This made for playing in the trees a lot of fun. We managed to ski Glades, Tomcat and T-33.
It was also nice to enjoy a little “snow art” done by the lifty at the top of Sky Chair. An icicle village sculpture. Nice touch.
We took a last trip over to the other side to do a quick run down one of my favorites, Crazy Raven. The run was great, the ending not so much. Even this seasoned skier is capable of doing a header when I’m not paying attention. And unfortunately, I did it on my face!
Back at the Crazy Raven Bar and Grill, the staff is very attentive. Cleaned me up, got some ice, and ski patrol did a thorough look over. No concussive symptoms– all good. Just a little road rash is all. Thanks Chris and Rachel for your kindness and care.
