Dr Jen’s Ski Report Nov 29, 2017

Doctor Jen, the counselling group
Snow baby snow! Holy moly is it coming down up here. Now this is the mountain I know and love.

There has been so much snow since opening day that pretty much the whole mountain was open today. So great to explore the many runs that Cypress has to offer. Even Sky Chair was open today. So nice to get up so high. The snow ghost trees were also very beautiful today.

I didn’t see a lot of familiar faces around the mountain, but many new friendly employees, for sure. In the Crazy Raven we met Elaine, from Cork Ireland. Lovely gal who is managing the bar, making sure all of us weary skiers are treated well after a day on the mountain.  KB was back serving again, which was great too. But who did we see? Jamie!! After sixteen years of working on the mountain, he has decided that this season will be his last. He did turn 70 this summer, after all. What?! 70. Crazy.

The conditions today were great, making all of the runs pretty easy to handle. Pick of the day? Humpty  Dumpty, for sure. Soft, steep and fun.

Don’t let the dreary Lower Mainland weather get you down this winter. Get up and out, cuz being outside is the best way to keep the blues away.
