Our Snowmaking Crew fired up the Guns last night for about four hours with temperatures hovering around zero about half way up Eagle Express. We’re hoping for temps a bit colder tonight and the Crew will be ready to make as much snow as possible.
We had been watching this cooler weather window starting on November 15 for about a month and it came in as scheduled but just a degree of two higher than anticipated. We will likely get snow on the upper mountain through the next several days but we’re uncertain of how low it will fall.
We have light snow showers this morning at +1C but from the current forecast it appears that we will need to bump our scheduled November 18 opening by a few days. The forecast early next week is looking very promising and we will continue to do whatever we can to get open as soon as we possibly can.

In the meantime, snow dances can’t hurt!
