Cypress Mountain enhances night experience with LED lighting

Night Lights

In partnership with Climate Smart Businesses, we are extremely proud to announce our participation in a Low Carbon Economy Fund initiative, helping to reduce over 1.3 million tonnes of CO2 e.  "We are thrilled to be introducing modern technology to improve our carbon footprint and continue to build upon our long-standing sustainability plan" said Russell Chamberlain, President & General Manager of Cypress Mountain.

This project is a key initiative to demonstrate our commitment to be an industry leader in environmental stewardship.  Cypress Mountain will complete the project by the Spring of 2020, which includes the replacement of over 560 metal halide trail lights for both the Downhill and Nordic facilities.  "This initiative will reduce our annual trail lighting power consumption by 60% and provide our skiers and riders with a much improved night experience" said Jeremy Wentzel, Director of Operations at Cypress Mountain.
