The Cypress Mountain Snow School offers a host of drop-in and multi-day ski and snowboard lessons for every age and ability. Our very own Quick Ski and the CASI Quickride systems will have you turning down the slopes in no time!
Try the ultimate lesson experience with a private lesson featuring one-on-one instruction with our top pros. The Skooters’ Kids Camp program for tots is a fun introduction to skiing featuring the Magic Carpet and Magic-Go-Round Carousel. Our Raven Rider Camps will keep your kids going all day while improving technique and having fun. Kids and teens ready for the whole mountain experience are covered with our Sky Rider Camps. Adults and youth can become skiers or snowboarders in just one weekend with our Learn to Ski and Ride Camps. Make sure to check out our Adult Lesson Program including a Oneniter Season Pass plus 4 evening lessons. Our Group Lessons for children, youth, and adults are a great way to discover skiing and riding, or to fine tune skills.
Looking to try something a little different? Cypress Mountain offers one of the largest Cross Country areas in North America with 19km of track set trails, 10km self-guided snowshoe trails, and a Snowtube Park .
Classic and Skate skiing are other fantastic adventures if you have never hit the slopes before. Located in our Cross Country Ski area, both are an easy, fun, and an exciting new way to enjoy your winter season.

Checking your fuel levels before heading up to the mountain is always a great idea! The nearest gas station located one exit west of the Cypress Bowl Road exit. The return drive to the ski area is 30km from the highway.
Always remember to stash your keys and wallet in a safe, sealable pocket. It is also a good idea to store a separate car key in another location just in case you misplace the original.
Labeling all equipment with your name or family name is a good way to keep tabs on your gear, as well as deciphering it from others that may look similar.
Drinking plenty of water is important, even when it’s cold out. It is easy to get dehydrated on the mountain.
Weekends and Holidays are our busiest time so take the time to plan ahead and allow a little extra time to make the most of your visit to Cypress Mountain.
Security is always on duty; however we are not responsible for lost or stolen equipment. Remember to use a ski or snowboard lock to keep your gear safe. Locks are available for purchase at the retail store.
How do I get to the mountain?
Once I arrive at the mountain, where do I go?
When you arrive on the mountain head towards the Cypress Creek Lodge where all of the amenities you will need are in one convenient location. The Snow School, Rentals, Big Bear Sports Shop, and Guest Relations are located on the lower level. All of the information you will require to book, purchase, and source out your rentals, is located within the lower level area. The Cypress Creek Grill and Crazy Raven Bar & Grill can be found on level 2.
Where do I check in for lessons?
If it is your first-time lessons are highly recommended. Cypress Snow School Lessons are convenient, easy to book and a great way to start
The Lesson Desk is located in Rentals and offer a one-stop shopping experience with packages including lessons, tickets and rentals. You will need a credit card and photo ID for a security deposit if you are renting. Once you have purchased your lesson package, you will be directed to pick up your rental gear and where to meet for your lesson. Cypress Mountain carries the latest in top performance gear for fast check in and easy learning. Please arrive one hour in advance of lesson time to check-in.
What clothing should I wear? Can I rent clothing?
When you visit the North Shore Mountains conditions can change rapidly. Come prepared with a few different options of clothing. A hat, waterproof gloves, waterproof jacket, waterproof pants, long underwear, warm socks and solid footwear are important. Helmets are also highly recommended and are available for rent or purchase. Sunglasses and sunscreen are also important on sunny days, and extra socks are helpful when fitting rental boots.
If you do not have waterproof jacket and pants you can rent both. Our retail store carries goggles, hats, and gloves if you would like to purchase some.

The Rental Shop is located on the lower level of the Cypress Creek Lodge. You will need a credit card and photo ID for a security deposit. Is there anywhere I can leave my bag with extra clothes and belongings?
Cypress Mountain offers small storage lockers in the rental shop. These are coin operated ($2) and fit smaller bags, shoes or clothing items.
What do I do if I am not planning on taking a lesson?
If you are up for the challenge of teaching yourself, Cypress has a fantastic bunny hill which features our comfortable, low to the ground, slow moving “Easy Rider’ Quad Chair. You’re always welcome to come in and upgrade your ticket and rentals to a lesson package anytime you need some extra help.
