Cypress Rocks. It is quite cold out today and there wasn’t any new snow last night, yet they still managed to make it a great day. Their snow making and grooming is always top notch, making ever changing conditions ever so ski-able!
My joy today . . . Ravens Ridge was open! It is often my favorite area of the mountain and I was able to check it out today. Lovely steep groomed runs.
With the entire mountain open today, there were endless amounts of runs and fun to be had. Gibsons and Cat Track off Lions Express Quad Chair were even groomed, which made for fun through the trees.
Pick of the day for me was Benny’s on Black Mountain. Very fun, great grooming, and views to die for.
Back at the Crazy Raven who do I get to see? Peter! Mayor of Cypress, in case you didn’t know. First time to reconnect with him and some other regulars, including Grant who has worked as a ski instructor here since the Olympics. Grant admitted he would prefer to be called a Guided Discovery Technician. I love it! Gave me some great tips on improving my skiing as well.
Such a great way to end a great day.
